Image of EYFS get creative for Art Week!

What an amazing week it's been in EYFS as we've celebrated Art Week with lots of colour, creativity, and imagination!

The children have truly embraced their artistic sides, getting stuck into a wide range of fun activities. One of the highlights has been creating animal handprint collages for our upcoming Garden Festival display, which will be proudly showcased at Trawden Community Centre. The children loved turning their own handprints into all kinds of imaginative animals!

They also explored ice painting, marvelling at the colours as they melted and mixed, and used watercolours to paint their own wonderful ideas – from rainbows to rockets and everything in between.

Using the interactive whiteboard, the children enjoyed making digital self-portraits and even had a go at drawing their friends — sparking lots of giggles and great conversations about features, colours, and expression.

Art Week has brought creativity into all corners of the classroom, and it's been fantastic to see the children's confidence and individuality shine through in their artwork.
