EYFS Rock Art Fun at Forest School!

Our EYFS children had a fantastic time at Forest School today as part of our exciting Art Week!

We started by reading the classic story The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which inspired our creative activity. The children then ventured out onto the field to collect natural materials like leaves, grass, flowers, and even some dead-headed blooms from the garden.

With these beautiful findings, they created stunning butterfly artworks!

Each child carefully arranged they found onto a folded fabric butterfly, then used a rock to press and imprint the colours and textures — a wonderful combination of nature and creativity. 

They have brought them home to show you!
