Year 6 and their reception buddies enjoyed the glorious sunshine we had during their 'Forest School Extravaganza' today! The Year 6 children showed their buddies how to kneel safely around a fire before helping them to toast marshmallows to make s'mores. As well as this the children practiced using their whittling skills to make swords and bows and arrows - a handy tool to have if they come across the Trawden Dragon! They also built dens to sit under whilst eating smores - fortunately they didn't need waterproof shelters today.
