Last week was an exciting time for our school as every class donned their gardening gloves and planted their seed potatoes!
After several weeks of ‘chitting' them on our classroom windowsills, we watched as the green shoots developed, ready for the next stage.
Each class did an amazing job of planting their 'Spuds in a Tub', and now it's time for the children to nurture their tubs to grow the heaviest crop. The potatoes will be ready for harvesting before the summer holidays, and we can't wait to see the results of their hard work!
Which class will emerge victorious, claim the trophy, the Spud Buddies and be crowned as the Potato Growing Champions of 2025?

Our School Gardening Club would like to say a huge thankyou to 'All Grow Supplies LTD', especially Russell who personally delivered a selection of their outstanding Moorland Gold composts and a wooden planter. We are incredibly grateful for their support and this generous donation of compost will give our growing space a major boost and has kickstarted our potato growing competition in an amazing way. Thank you again for helping us grow fresh, healthy food for our school.
