To begin our plants topic in Science Y1 have been learning a little bit about seeds. We found out about different fruits and how long they take to grow and the conditions they need.
We used our art skills to look closely at a fruit and draw it from the outside. Then we cut them open and carefully sketched the flesh and seeds inside.
We also made seed bombs for Earth Day using wildflower seeds so we can observe them growing at home and in some pots at school.
