This week in EYFS, the children have continued their learning on the topic of People Who Help Us, with a particular focus on emergency vehicles. They have shown great interest in learning about the roles of the police, firefighters and paramedics and how they help to keep us safe. They enjoyed creating their own vehicles outside and also putting out fires with the water gun!
In the construction areas, the children designed and created their own emergency vehicles using LEGO Duplo and a range of construction resources. They confidently talked about their ideas and choices as they built, showing imagination and problem-solving skills.
The children were also very creative in the art area, where they enjoyed making their own emergency vehicles, especially police cars. They took pride in their work and enjoyed sharing their creations with their friends.
We ended the week with a police training themed PE lesson, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. They took part in a range of activities that supported their physical development, listening skills and teamwork.
