This morning, Year 3 took the whole school back in time to the Stone Age with their class assembly.
They applied their learning from our 'News Broadcasts' topic in English and stepped into the role of news anchors and reporters to present their very own news channel 'Stone Age News Live!'.
Our reporters interviewed hunter-gatherers to explore what life was really like in the Stone Age. They explored their cave artwork, their tools, their cuisine and their clothes (modelled by four fabulous fashionistas).
Finally, they concluded their broadcast with a special performance of a very unique Stone Age song. The children used their fabulous History knowledge to create their very own lyrics and actions, and it sounded fantastic!
The children have worked incredibly hard over the last few weeks rehearsing their lines, creating their song and practicing their acting skills, and it was so wonderful to see all of their hard work pay off this morning. The class did a fantastic job and we are very proud of everybody.
Thank you to everyone who came along this morning to watch our assembly!
