Year 6 pupils embraced the outdoors during their recent Forest School session (despite the wet and windy weather), focusing on basic survival skills and communication. As part of the activity, the children explored Morse Code, learning how messages can be sent using simple patterns of dots and dashes. They practised spelling short words and even tried sending messages to each other using natural materials. The session encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and an appreciation of how people communicated over long distances before modern technology.
