We are incredibly proud to announce that Trawden Forest Primary School has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award with Distinction! 🌿🏆
This fantastic achievement is the result of a whole year's worth of dedication, teamwork and passion for protecting our planet.
A huge well done goes to our amazing Eco Warriors, who gave up many of their lunch breaks to work with Miss Lambert. Together, they came up with brilliant ideas, completed action plans, gathered evidence and worked tirelessly to help us achieve this prestigious award.
Our wonderful Gardening Club has also played a huge part. The children have worked hard to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs in our school garden, many of which have been used by our school kitchen to create delicious lunches for everyone to enjoy.
Throughout the year, we have also:
🌱 Held clothing recycling drives.
🏃 Completed our Eco Pledge sponsored run, where children made promises to help the planet instead of collecting sponsorship money.
🌍 Celebrated Earth Day with a whole-school assembly, led by our Eco Warriors, to inspire others to care for our environment.
♻️ Taken part in many other environmental projects that have helped make our school a greener, more sustainable place.
This award belongs to every member of our school community who has supported our eco journey. Thank you to our children, staff, families and volunteers for helping us make a real difference.
