In Forest School this week Year 1 have been learning how to use a hand drill to make holes in conkers.
First, they selected their conker and decided where to drill their hole.
Then they had to place their conker in the mushroom vice and tighten it then use the hand drill safely to make their hole.
We added pipe cleaners and eyes to make our conker pals.
The children thought of names for their friends and one even found them having a party!
