What a wonderful evening we had at the Christmas Lights Switch-On. Both Christmas trees looked beautifully festive, and our school choir sang carols alongside Jean Driver and her team, adding a lovely festive note to the evening.
Our School Gardening Club were honoured to be invited to serve refreshments to help raise funds for a new polytunnel, and we have so many people to thank for making this possible.
A heartfelt thank you to:
- Morrisons Nelson for their incredible generosity in supplying all of the refreshments — you made this possible for our Gardening Club.
- Trawden Community Centre and Shop for kindly donating the mulled wine.
- Ryan Waine Plumbing and Heating for supplying and setting up both sets of Christmas tree lights… and didn’t they look magnificent!
And of course, a BIG thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. Thanks to you, our Gardening Club raised an amazing £150.12.
We were blown away by your generosity and the lovely words we received throughout the evening — and then we had one more wonderful surprise…
Trawden Parish Council have matched the amount we raised, bringing our total to an incredible £300.00! This is truly amazing and brings us one big step closer to our goal of a new polytunnel.
From all of us: thank you to each and every one of you for your kindness, support, and community spirit — it is truly appreciated, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
