Last night, the school field was filled with the delicious aroma of freshly cooked pizza as our Gardening Club put their homegrown produce to the tastiest use yet!
The children made a variety of pizzas using ingredients they’ve grown themselves — including garlic pizzas with our very own garlic, and a deliciously tasty combo of beetroot, mint, and feta using freshly harvested beetroot.
Cooking (and eating!) outdoors was such a treat, and the children absolutely loved every minute of it. We even managed to dig up some more early potatoes while we were out there!
Moments like this show just how rewarding growing your own food can be — from soil to slice, the children experienced the full journey, and it was delicious!
