We have had a fantastic first day back for our final half term of the year!
We still can't believe how quickly this year has flown by!
Today the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring our new topic, Seaside Holidays Past and Present. They had lots of discussions about the similarities and differences and discussed lots of new vocabulary including a 'bathing machine'! We linked this to our feelings, discussing how we might feel when visiting the seaside and sharing our own experiences. The children created some wonderful seaside faces using loose parts and produced beautiful seaside landscapes and sea creature artwork.
There were lots of exciting topic-related activities taking place throughout the day, and at one point this morning we even had our very own pirate ship band performing!
We are so excited for all the fun and memorable experiences we have planned for this half term. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as we continue our seaside adventures!
